Launched in May 2025 “LiveStream” aims to become a knowledge platform for underserved adolescent girls for them to become aware of different career opportunities that are possible when pursuing Humanities, Commerce, or the STEM fields. The project’s central goal is to provide a platform to these girls that is gender-neutral and sensitive to the challenges that adolescent girls encounter when socially and economically challenged. This platform would help the targeted adolescent girls make appropriate decisions based on their subject preferences for a personally desired career pathway.
The preliminary step of this project would be to bring out three knowledge primers, covering the fields of Humanities, Commerce, and the STEM, for the students to explore the different career options available within each field. These primers would act both as an interactive learning resource and an interactive activity resource for students to absorb information through simple activities that would expose them to the fundamental concepts of commerce, social science, literature, physical sciences, biology, and mathematics. To supplement the learning experience with the primers, the project will also bring out a youtube series in which every episode will shed light on a particular concept that comes under any of the three broad domains of education for the girls to learn different facets of humanities, commerce, and the STEM through the medium of interactive lectures.
Besides learning resources, the project will also launch a fundraiser to raise funds for expert-led bootcamps and psychometric tests for the adolescent girls supported by NGOs. The proceeds from the fund would be provided to the NGOs to support their existing educational initiatives for the underserved girls. It would also be used to organize bootcamps wherein all the girls being served by the project would have the space to hold open discussions with professionals, teachers, counselors, and academics to understand the career prospects and challenges in the three areas of knowledge. The unique feature of the project would be the intricately designed psychometric test that would assess the student participants for their strengths and areas of improvement, and help with guiding the girl students towards the academic field and career opportunity that best aligns with their skills and interests.
